Your accounts
Each account’s balance on December 31, 2025. Traditional IRAs, SEP and SIMPLE IRAs can be added together; each 401(k) or 403(b) is figured on its own.
Enter your birth year and a balance to see your RMD.
When your spouse is your only beneficiary and more than 10 years younger, your RMD uses a different IRS table (the Joint and Last Survivor Table), which gives a smaller required amount. That calculation depends on both birthdays, and it’s covered in a plan.

What this doesn’t include
Inherited accounts (see the inherited IRA calculator), Roth accounts (no RMD for the owner), the “still working” exception for an employer plan, and the RMD for a year already past are not covered. Growth is an assumption, not a forecast.
Estimates for 2026 using federal figures only, from the inputs you entered. Not tax advice for your situation and not a guarantee of any result. State taxes, the net investment income tax, AMT and other items are not included. See how this is calculated.
